About Ben Bohnsack

Ben Bohnsack

After a life-long experience as a do-it-yourselfer and woodworker, making practical items like furniture and toys, in 2012 Ben took a weekend workshop in woodblock printing at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, Minnesota, with artist Nick Wroblewski. After that initial experience he has continued to learn new skills as a woodcut artist, taking his creative energies as a retired pastor into new artistic directions. More recently Ben has studied drawing and painting at Northern Michigan University and is a member of Lake Superior Art Association. He particularly enjoys subjects provided by landscapes and subjects wherever he is. Travelling in 2016 on the Rhine and Mosel Rivers he spent a relaxing hour or two each day creating...
